What is Non-Medical Homecare?
Non-medical home care is a service that helps those in need by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) accompanied by companionship and comfort care services in order to continue living life from the comfort of his or her own home.
What services are not included in Non-Medical homecare?
Non-medical home care is typically paid for out-of-pocket or through some long term care insurance plans. Medicare does not cover non-medical home care (custodial care). Since it doesn’t usually involve skilled nursing care, non-medical home care may be less costly than home health care.
